A Mobile Money vendor, Christopher Ahordo has been sh0t dead by unidentified armed robbers at Gbagblakope, a suburb of Aflao in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region.
The incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. on Monday, at the victim’s shop located along the Diamond Cement Road after he usually extended his closing time above 5:00pm.
According to eyewitnesses, Christopher was preparing to close for the day when two masked men dressed in long robes emerged from a nearby bush.
The assailants reportedly began shooting into the air to disperse bystanders before firing directly at the vendor, striking him in the left side of his chest.
Residents rushed the victim to the Ketu South Municipal Hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
