Time Will Prove My Words – Prophet Fire Oja on Black Sherif prophecy

Every year on December 31, Christians across Ghana gather in churches for watch night services, praying and crossing over into the new year with faith and hope.

It was during one such service on December 31, 2024, that Ghanaian prophet Fire Oja made a bold prophecy about musician Black Sherif.

That night, he told his congregation it had been revealed to him that Black Sherif would no longer produce a hit song. He claimed his vision showed colleagues in the music industry working against the young star, warning this would lead to a decline in his career.

But in the months that followed, Black Sherif defied that prediction. Not only did he release a hit single, he also dropped a full album, Iron Boy, which has topped charts across streaming platforms and become a street anthem, with several tracks making waves in Ghana and beyond.

Speaking on Onua FM on August 8, 2025, Prophet Fire Oja addressed the backlash to his prophecy. He said experiences like this are why some prophets keep certain revelations to themselves—to avoid mockery and disrespect, especially from the youth.

Despite Black Sherif’s current success, Fire Oja insisted his prophecy still stands. He added that after Iron Boy’s release, many labeled him a fake prophet because events seemed to contradict his words.

“The reason some preachers avoid discussing certain prophecies is that, if there were an imminent incident they could intercede for, many Ghanaians, especially the youth, do not respect prophetic ministry. They tend to disrespect you without hesitation.

My prophecy about Black Sherif has not changed; it is still hanging in the air. I prophesied that something would happen to his career, leading to a point where he would be unheard of. I advised him that if he wanted to continue being popular, he should seek guidance from some powerful men of God.

However, after the prophecy, Black Sherif released a project that became a hit, and now everyone is singing his song. As a result, some people in Ghana have called me fake, claiming my prophecy did not come to pass as I mentioned,” Fire Oja stated.
