Thomas Partey SACKED from Ghana camp

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Teye Partey has been sacked from the Black Stars of Ghana camp after he turned up late for training ahead of an international friendly against Morocco on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old was reluctant to join the Ghana camp to commence preparations ahead of the double-header friendlies against Morocco and Ivory Coast.

Head coach of the Black Stars, Charles Kwablan Akonnor asked the former Atletico Madrid star to leave the camping base of the team in Cape Coast as they fly out to Rabat on Monday morning to face Morocco in a friendly.

The attitude of Partey, who is the deputy captain of the team has shocked the nation and questions his commitment and leadership role in the team.

Ghana have line up two International friendly matches against Morocco and Ivory Coast this month.

The Black Stars will take on the Atlas Lions of Morocco on Tuesday, June 8, in Rabat, before hosting the Elephants of Ivory Coast on Saturday, June 12, at the Cape Coast stadium.
