Son Buried In Sand, Found Dead in Awutu Ahuntem

A one and a half-year-old baby boy have lost his life as he has mistakenly been buried under sand from an offloading Tipper Truck.

This incident occurred in a small village near Bawjiase in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region.

A report from Joy Daddy Multimedia’s, Central Region Reporter, Eric Owusu Amponsah has shown that the deceased baby boy was playing with his father in their room when the man was informed that the Tipper Truck had arrived.

According to the father, he thought he had left his son in the room when he left to instruct where the sand should be poured.

He narrated that, it was the mother who later prompted him of the absence of their son in the room.

“I thought I had left him in the room because we were playing together until I came out so I only realized he wasn’t in the room when his mother asked about him”, he said.

Eric reported that the parents searched everywhere for their baby until it dawned on them that he might have been buried in the sand.

As they were searching, they saw his leg in the sand and after they dug out they realized their son was buried in the sand and had consequently lost his life.

The parents of the deceased baby boy are reported to be devastated and inconsolable.
